Shine

Hi!

A colour challenge now!  Inspired by #SSC201 at Sunday Stamps.  I admit this isn't a colour combo I would have thought to use but I do love it!

When I saw the palette I was drawn to Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.  I used Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber.

The stamps are by Kim Dellow for PaperArtsy.

I had great fun making this!

Hearts

Hi!

Sticking with an embossing folder for this card.  And entering it in challenge #481 at Just Us Girls.

It's a wild card challenge and the theme is embossing folders!  Coloured with Distress Inks.

Bashful

Hello!

There's a new challenge over at AAA Cards and it's a cracker!

I loved the inspiration this gave me.  Firstly to make a quick card, and secondly to include dry embossing - something I never do!  So now I'm enthused to include more embossing on my cards. And it's a great technique for a CAS card as you keep the white space!

I used a Penny Black die called Bashful.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Stains and Markers in Wild Honey, Pickled Raspberry and Forest Moss to colour on watercolour card. I then die cut the flower.  The embossing folder is Stampin' Up! and the greeting is Penny Black stamped with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Here it is! Hope you like it.  It was a 10 min make (took me longer to find the embossing folder!)

It's a lovely spring day here today.  Been out for an early Mothers Day lunch and now back to relax.  I thought I would check out some sketch challenges for inspiration and I found one by Freshly Made Sketches. Challenge #381 - I've turned it on its side and gone with something fairly clean and simple.  A mix of Kim Dellow and Tim Holtz stamps coloured with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.

I hope you like it!

More To Pour! #6

Hello!  Not much time this evening so an acrylic pour seemed to be the best use of time.  Still learning.. this is only my 6th attempt.  I like it.  I hope it dries without too much change!

It's Your Day

Hi!

Another week flying in!  And it's been another busy one so crafty time is limited.

I took my inspiration for this card from Color Throwdown ctd535.

I love this colour combo.  I used So Saffron, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz.

Here it is!

I'm also going to enter this card in the Anything Goes challenges at Crafty Creations and Imagine That Creative Playground.

More To Pour! #5

Hello!

My next attempt!  I'm much happier with the consistency of the white this time.  The pour and coverage was good.  I just don't know why the cells are so small!  (still not brave enough to try the blow torch!)

Lots Of Lavender

Hi!

I've taken my colour inspiration from Cupcake Inspirations challenge #466.  I've used mainly Balmy Blue and Highland Heather from Stampin' Up!  I like this card. It's fresh and simple.

More To Pour! #4

Hi!

Been getting messy again with my 4th ever acrylic pour.  This one didn't work.  The white mix was too thick and didn't spread easily over the canvas board.

Never the less, it's all about practicing and learning from mistakes.  I do like the cells though.  Maybe I can do something to cut it down and mount it with a white surround?

It's not going in the bin just yet!

Rainbow

Hi!

Two challenges combined gave me inspiration for this card.  Pile It On #152 Your Favourite Color and/or Rainbow, and As You Like It   Favourite Die or Stencils.  I've chosen another of my favorite dies for this card and teamed it up with a water coloured rainbow background.  I used Gansi Tambi watercolours because they are so vivid!

I'm pleased with this card, I think the kraft background makes the white border pop.

Hope you like it!

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Bugaboo Bingo!

Hello!

Inspiration for this card comes from the March Bingo challenge at Catch The Bug.
I've chosen the top line which is Gems, Washi Tape and a Bugaboo image.

A simple wee card but I like it!

Getting Inky!

Hi!

My second card of the day is inspired by a One Layer Wonder Clean and Simple challenge at The Paper Players.

I've used two stamp sets by Stampin' Up! "Hi There" and "Penned and Painted".  The inks used are:
Primrose Petals
Flirty Flamingo
Marina Mist
Pineapple Punch
Grapefruit Grove
Mango Melody
Granny Apple Green
Pear Pizzazz

I'm going to enter this card in:

Spring Groves
