Cascade of hearts is made with SU! Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake cardstock, Cherry Cobbler DSP, Crumb Cake and Early Expresso ink, Cherry Cobbler Ribbon and some First Edition DSP. The sentiment is from Sealed with a Kiss. I used the Heart punch for the little hearts.

I really enjoyed making this one - simple but I love the colours. The card is 8x8" which is fast becoming my favourite size!

Made this little mini book with three cheap brown C5 envelopes. The gorgeous image is a digi from Saturated Canary. She's coloured with SU inks using a blender pen.

Each of the six open ends of the envelopes contains a tabbed insert - ready to be personalised!

Brr... it's freezing out there today!

Not that it's bothered me for the most part as I've been enjoying the lovely warmth of my craft room! Been mainly doing SU stuff (additicted!).. can't wait for the Sale-A-Bration which starts tomorrow. I have a very long wish list!

The blue card and paper, and ink, is SU Baja Breeze - its a really lovely shade, perfect for this Gorjuss Girl - I've coloured her using the blender pen.

Oh I'm so glad I'm getting my card making mojo back! But I've not been twiddling my thumbs over the last few weeks.. knitted 5 scarves, stiched 3 felt owls, needle felted one owl, made candies with Sarah, and did a general tidy up of the craft room! All that and spent some real quality time with my lovely family! oh, and some scrapbooking of our Disney holiday last year! Perfect!

Oh I know.. I'm terrible, I've not posted anything for ages! Things have been mad! I can't wait for the christmas holidays when things might (?!) calm down a wee bit! All my christmas cards are now made (whew!) and I've been busy making tags and gift cards. This is just a snap shot. I've made about 40 others which I've used already. Great fun though!

Work has been great/mega busy/exhausting! and now I'm looking forward to time off and a holiday away with a bit of fun and luxury thrown in (well, I reckon we all deserve a bit of pampering!). I have 3 more very special cards to make then all I have to do is resist ordering any more SU! goodies until the new year!

Just the final prep for Christmas to do now.. I always love to do little crafty menu keepsakes so I need to think how these will look this year. And the cooking of course.. special desserts to cook! Ready for the big day when Santa comes (hyper 7 year old to deal with in the mean time!) All fun! Its been a brilliant year and it's great fun to look back! (and relax!!)

Gift Card Holder with a tuck in flap

This is a lovely wee gift card holder. Nice and easy to make!

Here's what you need!

Cardstock:

18cm x 12cm (main colour)

10.5cm x 7cm (main colour - for the insert)

10cm x 6.5cm (co-ordinating colour - for the insert)

5cm x 6cm (white or cream - for the stamped image on the front)

5.5cm x 6.5cm (for the mat)

One strip of designer paper 12cm x 2.5cm

One C6 envelope

Some Stampin Up dimentional foam pads

Stampin Up scalloped edge punch

Start by scoring the large piece of cardstock at 8cm & 16cm the trim about 2mm off the length so that the first score is now at 7.8cm (this helps it all still nicely when it's folded).

Seal the envelope closed then fold in half (short edge to short edge), the trim the short edges of the envelope so they are both open.

Glue down the middle of the envelope to creat two little pockets, then glue the envelope into the cover.

Add the decor to the front down the left side only so that the flap of the envelope can be tucked under the matted image on the front.

Make the insert and pop into one of the internal pockets.

That's it!!

This is a little gift card holder - it opens to reveal two inner pouches - one for with a message card and one for the gift card. Cardstock is SU Rich Razzelberry - gorgeous!

And a little desk calender for 2012.

Time seems not to be on my side at the moment but no complaints as its all good!

Spend last night from 6pm to 12.30am taking calls for Children In Need - not the first time I've done it but amazing none the less! Almost all the calls I took were lovely, generous people.. shame two were not! Why take up the time of a person taking donations for such a good cause with their own petty small mindedness?

Anyway :-) Been mega busy over the last few months and now looking forward to starting my new job which will no doubt bring it's own challenges!

Hope to get some more crafty time soon! But first of all I have a 7th birthday to get ready for - where does the time go!?

What a lovely fresh day it was yesterday - took this pic as the winter sun was shining through the trees at Polkemmet Country Park. And today is the same - cold, fresh and clear blue sky - I love this time of the year.

Been really busy since coming back from holiday and the time seems to have just disappeared. Trip to London was good last week, and I now have a new job to look forward to!

And I came back to a lovely big box of Stampin Up goodies! I've been busy making samples in preparation for doing SU workshops and parties.

I've also been snowed under with commissions for cards - a real variety of male, female, baby, anniversary and leaving cards. So that's kept me really busy too!

So all in all a great few weeks and now looking forward to two birthdays and Christmas (how quickly is Christmas coming?? scary!)

What to do now? More samples I think! I'm challenging myself to use every single scrap of paper - to waste nothing (who can bear to waste Stampin Up papers?? They are just too lush!)

So busy I'm dizzy!

Wow! what a busy week its been! And a hectic weekend to follow! All good though!

I have loads of card orders to get through so I made a start on them, and some examples for my SU parties. Its been non stop! The card above is made with the new 2011-2013 in colours: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. The image is from Easy Events and coloured with SU watercolour pencils.

These papers are from the Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby stack - which I had been resisting until I saw it in Hobbycraft and just had to have it!

One very tired little girl today. Sleepover here last night - giggling until about midnight! Great fun though!

And a very busy week ahead so not much crafty time. Nice trip to London to look forward to though. Its all go!

Hello! sorry I've not posted for a wee while - been on holiday and had the most amazing time!

The weather was great - only one afternoon when it was kind of drizzel rain but not too bad it would spoil things.

We stayed in the absolutely awesome Disneyland Hotel. Our room looked right over the park! There were disney characters at breakfast and dinner, and just walking along the corridors. Brilliant fun!

The hotel has it's own smell - as soon as you come in through the doors it hits you. Not sure what it was. I think it's what fairy dust would smell like - magic!

Must have walked a million miles - all totally worth it!

Sarah had a great time, she loved Stitch Live (which was pretty impressive) and Buzz Lightyear (cause she could shoot at Dad with her lazer gun!). She also loved the Haunted Mansion.. even the ghost that sat in our car all the way round!

Now I need to scrapbook some pics and maybe start my Smash book!

Sarah and I made this tonight - not sure what it will taste like but it smells lovely! Baked raspberry and vanilla cheesecake. Sarah was in charge of bashing the digestives for the base then tearing the raspberries to go in mix. She also did a bit of mixing with the eggs. And finally, and most importantly, she tasted the raspberry coulis.. yum yum yum!!

These little squares are 2.5 x 2.5cm, 3 x 3cm and 3.5 x 3.5cm. Of course, if I keep using such small pieces of paper I will never make any space for new stuff!!

Suzette Ketto

A quick make with one of my new stamps. I love these Ketto stamps - they are so easy to use! She's stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock and coloured with Copics (Blush, Baby Skin Pink, Skin White & Yellow Green). Card base is Old Olive and the dotty paper is from the Jolly Holiday collection (proving it's not just for Christmas!)

Whew! What a busy weekend it's been. Busy but great! Rather than add another post with no pics I thought I would add this one of some soaps I made recently - they are bubble gum and cherry scented and smell gorgeous!

I've got lots of new stuff to play with now - I will try to photo it first before tidying it away.. although I think playing my new LOTV Christmas stamps may take priority. It was all I could do to resist buying all of them!

I may find space for the stamps but I don't think I'll find anywhere for my new paper pads! (they just jumped into my hand saying "buy me, buy me"! what could I do??)

Spent a wee bit of time tidy up a tiny bit of the craft room today - and it's amazing what you find! I found three brand new stazon ink pads in Pumpkin, Vibrant Violet and Forest Green. Then I found my heat gun - hadn't seen it in ages! So decided to have a play with my new Heat and Stick powder from Stampin Up, and some gorgeous gold micro fine glitter! Great fun.. although the room, and me.. is now all sparkly! Tidied out a whole load of 12x12 which I will never use too.. now to find a good home for it!

Using up some scraps again. I just love this tartan paper. Used the Stampin Up Christmas bauble punch and chopped the bottom off to make the vase (thanks to Theresa for this idea!). Then run the punched shape through the cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder (it's such a good folder for so many uses!)

The black card is bazill (orange peel finish) so it embosses really well, and the teeny flowers are red bazill bling - the die is a QK one I've had for ages!

The sentiment stamp is Penny Black and the stems/leaves is Stampin Up from the Sweet Summer set.

Might make some more like this (after lunch!)

I'm really liking the pink and green colour combo! This card was inspired by the paper from "Out of Print by Basic Grey. Then I used up some scraps of Anna Griffin cardstock for the layering.

The image is Lili of the Valley, coloured with copics. The fairy wings are covered in Stampedous Shaved Ice (as am I, and my desk!!)

I'm going for a cup of tea now - to warm my hands! It's freezing here today!

Another quick one. The houses are cut out and stuck on to the cream card - I left spaces between the houses and the roofs which looks much better than in the photo.

Quite a productive morning so far! Been doing a bit of tidying in the craft room! I'm pleased to say I can now see my desk! And now.. what to make??

cut off the handles

cover with cardstock and lovely papers from Craftwork Cards

add a Merry Christmas greeting

make a tag

and glue it all together!

Inspired by making the bag at yesterdays SU workshop I decided to use a slightly larger brown paper bag - after cutting the handles off it measures about 7" by 6".

I could easily get hooked on making these! Good job I've got plenty brown bags (bought them to make paper bag books!) I think I need to get some slightly smaller ones too!

These craftwork card papers are gorgeous - pearlescent. Not sure if the still do this range though - I found them in my stash when I was having a good look around! It's amazing what you find!

Time for a cup of tea now I think!

Loads more christmas cards made! It's great to have such inspiration! I can't wait for the next SU! catalogue to come out... if its half as good as the US catalogue it will be very hard to resist! That's if I have any pennies left from the GNPE! Now looking forward to a lazy Sunday.. well lazy-ish!

A perfect day to spend engrossed in making SU! Christmas cards in the company of like minded ladies!

Lots of lovely Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, heat embossing and stamping.. and throw in huge amounts of sparkly glitter.. punches.. and what do you get??

Nellie Snellen: Brave Captain

This little guy is new from Nellie Snellen - he's called "Brave Captain. He's really great to colour and the quality of the stamped image is fantastic. Coloured him using pro-markers and Marvy Twinklette pigmented glitter markers (which I have just noticed should be stored horizontally - might explain why the colour didn't flow too well - oops!)

The papers are by MME - the True Blue collection which are lovely! And the sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Might do some more later!

Love this cheeky wee robot! He's coloured with copics. Just a quick make. Been busy making baby cards as I'd run out! Made 6 but they are all repeats of previous designs so I'm not going to photograph them.

What to do now?
I really should tidy up all the tags on my posts, make things easier to find!
