Basic Maths Faux Pas!!

Ok, this didn't take long to make but I can't believe I didnt work out in advance that the loop of the lariat would affect the balance of the necklace. This is what happens when you fail to plan!! The quest is now do I fix it... or leave it as it is???

Friendly Plastic Bracelet

First attemp. Easy to do but very lightweight to wear. I seem to have lost my mojo at the moment. I have no interest in making cards. I think I need a holiday - get some new inspiration and ideas!!

Simple mothers day

Love these papers - Dream Street - Baylees Garden and co-ordinating Bazzil. Gorgeous! Letters are cut using my Cuttlebug. Flowers are Prima (yeah, I know, they are getting to be a habit!!)

For the boys..

I don't make many male cards but I'm really pleased with this one. A big thanks to my friend Jackie over at pinkdiamondworkshop for the loan of the stamp!

Some lucite flowers, seed beads and thread...

I love this and I can't believe how quick and easy it was to do. Now I think I might be hooked on making these! might try some bag and phone charms in a similar style!

Feeling blue!

Three strands of beads twisted together.

Update on progress (!) with the Miyuki kit

Ok... try not to laugh! I now realise that the reason the kit has a difficulty level of 4 out of 5 is because it's NOT EASY!!!
Did I under estimate the rating?? ... or over estimate my ability???
I've been trying Peyote stitch which, on paper, is as easy as... threading the needle!! The instructions are all translated to english so now I know a few very important pointers, including:

"Beading needle tends to bend, so be careful when handling it and KEEP IT OUT OF CHILDREN" (Wheeeww, thank goodness it warned me!!)

Also, "some materials have extra"... lets hope that applies to the beading thread!!

I'm not going to give up though... OH NO.. but I might wait until I've had a glass of wine before trying again.. who knows.. peyote stitch may just make sense to me!!

By the way.. peyote stitch was used by the Native Americans and the Ancient Egyptians.. I will do it!

grey and brown necklace

Made this one quite quickly.
Some of the beads from the show yesterday.

Scottish Bead Fair

Been shopping!! Spent some pennies (keeping quiet about exactly how much!!). Got loads of lovely beads! Now all I need is the time to do something with them!! Here are some pics..

I also got a bead kit by Miyuki to make a "Persian red leaves" necklace - the difficulty level is 4... out of 5. Bets now as to my ability to finish it without stabbing myself to death with the tiny thin beading needle - thats assuming I can actually thread it!! Here's a pic... I wonder if mine will look like this??

Drop necklace

Made this a wee while ago and forgot to take a pic! The drop length is about 8cm.

Papers are from the Nonsense kit by We R Memory Keepers.

Coloured with Copics.

Purple fizz!

Paper is Basic Grey - Sarah from the Oh Baby! Girl collection which I've had for ages and not used!

Fizz by Leanne Ellis

This is Fizz! She's one of the unmounted stamps by Leanne Ellis - she's great to colour! Used Marvy's and watercolour technique for this one. Now I need to find paper etc to match to make a card!

Chilling!

I haven't used this stamp for ages! Coloured using pro markers and copics. Some of the bubbles are accented with Glossy Accents (which wasn't quite dry when I took the pic!)

Keep in Touch

Here she is on a finished card - the message is "Keep In Touch" although you can't see it clearly - don't know what I'm doing wrong with my pics these days!
