Twisted Easel Card

I was looking for a different style of card to make and found twisted easel cards. Easy to make once I worked out which way the fold goes! Papers on this are Stampin Up from the Bright Collection - Melon Mambo.
The flower is die cut from a die by Little Claire Designs.

I had great intentions of posting new cards everyday but, hmm, I should have known the world would conspire against me to steel both my time and my inspiration. Made an effort today to make this. My only pre-requisite for the card was to be bright and cheery after the sheer and complete shock of doing my tax!
I found my moment of tranquility colouring a Penny Black I've not used for ages, with Pro Markers (need more practice!!). I have no idea who made these papers.. they came from deep within the black hole that is my 12x12 paper collection. But I like them.
The flowers and lace are from Wildorchid Crafts.. if you have visited them before the you know what an awesome collection of goodies they have.. and if you have not, then sit down and work out just how much you can justify spending!!! Luckily I got my goodies before doing my tax!!
Hopefully more cards from me this week, although I don't think "free time" is on my side. It could well be another whirl wind of a week!

The time to be happy is now...

Another Gorjuss girl. Coloured with Pro Markers (I'm practising!). Paper is from Prima Fairy Floral (again! - need to get another pad of this!). The sentiment is a Penny Black stamp I've had for ages. I need to try a different layout for my next card I think!

A space in your heart

I'm pretty sure this is a Sarah Kay stamp but I don't have the packaging and I can't remember where I got it! Coloured with pro markers. The sentiment is a Penny Black. Papers are from G C D Studios - the No Worries stack.

Elzybells Girl with flowers

Another paper from the Prima Fairy Flora collection. These really are lovely!
Thought I would have a rummage around to see what stamps I've not used for a while. Came across my collection of Elzybells... most are Christmas stamps (cause they are soooo cute!!). Found this one.. she's one of the first stamps I bought. She's stamped in Stazon and coloured with Pro Markers and On the Run markers.
I think I need to try and make a card that does not have Prima flowers on it!!

Tilda with Sunflower

Another Tilda stamp coloured with Pro Markers. Not so sure I like this one. And the colours haven't come up so well in this pic. The paper and flowers are Prima. The sentiment stamp is Lily of the Valley.

Tilda with Thistle

More practice with the Pro Markers. They are great to work with and it will be good to get them stored properly so I can see all the colours I have!! Then I can see what I still need to buy!!

p.s forgot to glitter her wings before taking the photo!

Lily of the Valley Coffee Break

Lily of the Valley Coffee Break - what a lovely stamp! Coloured this one with Pro Markers - need to practise more with these. Decided that I need Pro Marker storage so I've ordered 2 of the pen folders from Craft Obsessions. At least that way I will be able to see all the colours I have. Obviously (!?) I had to order some more colours to fill in the empty spaces!! Luckily they had money off the individual pens so I got a bargain - I could hardly pass up a bargain!!
Just have to wait on the postie delivering them now...

Curious Kitties

A quick card.
Not much I can add to this as the stamp is so big and the card is just under 6"x 6" square. The cat second from the left is glazed with JudiKins Diamond Glaze.

A Gorjuss Girl...

These Gorjuss stamps are just great. Excellent drawings and fantastic to colour. Just made this card to use up some more of the K&Co paper from earlier.

LOTV Again!

Another Lily of the Valley stamp. They really are so cute!
Papers are K&Co from the Jubilee collection. Stamp is coloured with Marvys and I tried to only use a few colours from the paper - kept it simple.
The glitter is Stickles Star Dust.
Quite good fun for a quick and easy make.

Inca Elephant

A simple wee easel card.
Love this little elephant - he's stamped using a Stampin' spot - Pumpkin Pie. Papers are Stampin' Up from the Bright collection.
Hmm.. Think I might change the colour of the middle card candy as the green isn't quite the right shade.

Stampin' Up Make A Monster

Made this one from Stampin' Up goodies.. first time I've used them.
Stamp set is "Make a Monster" and the paper collection is "Brights" - Pacific Point, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. I just love how the collections are all put together to mix and match. Might just have a new addiction to Stampin' Up!
Stamped the image using Memento - Tuxedo Black and coloured using the Copic Ciao markers shown in the pic.
Left room in the top right corner of the card to add a birthday age.

Lazy Sundays!

Oh I love lazy Sundays!

Been doing a wee bit blog hopping over the last few weeks in the hope of finding my creative mojo again and... I think it's working!

Here's a link to a great blog that I've found.. amazing stamping, colouring, decoupage and layout... A Scrapjourney. One to check regularly I think!

Now time to get dressed and see if inspiration gets a chance this afternoon!

How Old Would You Be?

And another card with Prima Fairy Flora paper and a LOTV stamp.
This was a really cheery one to make - the colours are so lovely!
And I love the words.. how old would you be??
I think I need to get some more lace!
ps. removed the dark green leaves.. didn't think they went that well!

Monochromatic

Made this cute little bag and insert book at craft class!

Mew members of the family!

Introducing Freckles and Mitsy.. new additions to the family.
Sisters aged around 6 months now.
Gorgeous!

With Love...

I just love these Lili of the Valley stamps. I'm looking forward to their next release on 11th of January! Here's a sneak peak!

Papers are Prima - Fairy Flora (really is a gorgeous range!!)

Just for you...

Happy New Year!

I know that I have been absolutely terrible at keeping my blog up to date in 2010. There were reasons and I'm very glad to see the back of 2010. But, rather than start on a negative note, I'm going to concentrate on the positive - 2011!!

So, New Years' resolutions.. not going to bother.. why set yourself up with a goal you are probably going to fail!

Instead, I will look at each little achievement as a step in the right direction!

Apart from all my christmas cards I've not made any cards for ages. Going to change all that now though and try and get my creative mojo back!

Here is my first attempt.

Paper: from the Prima Fairy Flora stack

Flowers: Prima

Stamp: Lili of the Valley (watercoloured with Marvy pens)
