I had it in mind today to have a great time doing the things that I enjoy but it wasn't to be.  It's funny how people can wittingly or unwittingly conspire to spoil things.. from being woken up at 8am by three pneumatic drills (do they really need to start at 8am?? on a non essential job?? I didn't think builders would be keen to spend money on overtime these days but it just shows you!!) to other things...  Anyway, despite it all, I made one card.. a thank you for the teacher.

Papers and image are Pink Petticoat - always gorgeous.. and coloured with copics!

Don't really know why I made these! Must have been in a pink mood! I've attached twine to the two tags. Love this little giraffe - such a cutie!

Anniversary cards

Ok, so my theme has evolved a bit! I like these cards better than the last one. These are made to order for a friend. The theme of the second one had to be black and white.

This idea for anniversary or wedding cards is just evolving! I like this but I think it needs improving!

Tweet little notelets!

Set of 4 "tweet" little notelets!  The cards are 12cm x 12cm.. perfect notelet size!

The images are by Kirsty Wiseman from the Call of the Wild CD which I've had for ages and not really used..  I love this little bird... so tweet!

Using up some bits and bobs.. a wee vintage-look notebook using my Bo Bunny Stamps and a swivel clip fastener from Tim Holtz Idea-ology.

A quick DAD card.  I don't seem to make many mens cards so I thought I would try one this morning.  I love this colour of green (Promarker - Marsh Green). The stars are Sizzix, and the lettering is Sizzlits "Bang Zoom!"

Now it's time for a cup of tea, for no other reason than to warm my hands!! It's freezing today! So much for the summer!

A couple of quick makes.. me having some fun practising with Promarkers!   Must get more colours!!

Recent Makes...

What a week its been.. apart from Wednesday for 2hrs there has been no craft time.. and no time to play with my recent new purchases. AND I broke my cuttlebug (well, not entirely.. it still works but the suction mat is off and there is no way to fix it)

Looking forward to the weekend and a chance to chill out!

Bookmarks

Something different for a change.. little bookmarks. Made from a pre-scored 12cm x 12cm card blank.  Used the Hougie board to score a cross corner to corner on one half of the card. Then cut off most of the other half leaving just 3cm which was then covered in patterned paper.  Folded the scores and glued the front before adding a triangle of pattered paper.  Inked the edges wih a light brown before adding the little topper.  The topper is at an angle so that when the book mark is in place over the corner of the book the little image is the right way up.

They are very sturdy little book marks.. might make some more!

When the crafty bug gets you...

Just a quick note as I'm recovering from the crafty bug! There's double sided tape, scraps of paper and glitter everywhere! I've made loads and loads of cards.. and this is the really surprising thing.. they are not all 6"x6"! infact they are mostly A5 and 12cm x 12cm.. small cards! and simple!! I look at cards that sell in shops and think how basic they are.. so with a wee Bluedaisy twist I have created my own "small and simple" cards.. with matching tags (obviously!).. and its been great fun!!

Pheobe Ketto

A new addiction!  Pheobe Ketto from Stampingbella.  She is lovely! Brilliant quality stamp and so nice to colour! 

Used Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured her with Copics.

So quick and easy to colour I made a wee tag to go with it!

The papers are from Prima (Jack n' Jill collection).  Dies used are a mix of Nesties, Marianne Designs, and Cuttlebug.. all cut on the CB (of course!)

This is a great flower die from Marianne Designs - the wee button in the middle is just so cute!

Baby Girl!

Made quite a few cards today.. mostly for kids.. but no photos. Did photo this one though! A cute baby girl!

A change from the girls.. all my cards have been girls recently so here is a wee cat for a change - love this Lily of Valley image.  Papers are from the Bird Song pack - lovely colours!

Tattie Button and Bird Song

Here's the lovely little Tattie Button - coloured with ProMarkers and Copics.

The inspiration for this card was the gorgeous papers which I HAD to get from http://www.kraftzatkimz.co.uk/ in East Calder - brilliant to have a great new craft shop on my doorstep!

The paper collection is called Bird Song.  Beeeeautiful!!

The last of the browns and blues.. at least for now!  I'm thinking this could be one of my most fav colour combos!  I might NEED to get another set of these papers from Stampin' Up!

The flower on the card is from Prima. The antique lace is from Ribbon Girl (great online store!!)

And on the same theme as the last post.. but using a Tattie Button stamp this time!

Browns and Blues

Made using one of the paper collections from Stampin' Up along with a Gorjuss girl coloured with ProMarkers.  Made the wee tag to go with it.. using up the scraps.

Pastel Get Well

This is so NOT my usual colour scheme.  The papers are from the Cottontail collection from Craftwork Cards. Not entirely sure why I bought them!  Nice papers if you like pastels - the finish is pearlescent which doesn't really show up on the pic.

Back to the old formula for this card!  Lovin' this little Gorjuss girl.

Papers used are Bo Bunny (Vicki B) and Fancy Pants (Beach Babe).. and some Bazzil card stock (the orange peel finish (lovely!!).

Birthday Butterfly - Card and Tag

Two things are inspiring me at the moment...

1.  punches and dies that I've not used for ages

2.  using up the many millions of scraps of paper I have!

oh, and 3...

making cute little tags to go with the cards!

The dies used here are all Quickutz - not used them for ages!  Cut them on the Cuttlebug though as the QK tool is tiring to use.

I've also managed to tidy my craft room this morning - so much so you can nearly (!!) see the floor!

And I did a bit of housework (bah!)

Time for lunch now!

Just using up some scraps of paper. I just love this little flower pot cards. So effective! All the credit for me being inspired to make these goes to the lovely Gill over at Perfect Papercrafts - check out her great new blog!

Now what to make next??  I still have some scraps of these papers to use ... so maybe some tags or toppers!

Pin Wheel Flower

First attempt at a pin wheel flower. Really simple to do. The papers on this card are from the Spring Feast collection.  Lovely!  Used some scraps of Bazzil and Kraft card to mat and layer. Now to use all the left overs to make some wee tags or something!

Oh, and I did find something on the QVC craft day that I NEEDED (!!).. more Bazzil!  Well, you can never have toooooo much!! All those lovely colours and textures.. too good to use!!

Another card with Warren. Coloured with Copics this time. Also had a shot at making a rosette - surprisingly easy with the Hougie Board. Think I might make some more!

And another little owl card.. just a wee thank you note this time. Not sure I like the butterflies but they are there now!!
