Gift Bag

Hi! Carrying on the sewing theme! I made this little lined gift bag to hold my mothers day gift for my mum. The bag started off as 4 5" squares from a Moda Charm pack.  This is the first time I've tried something like this and it's far from perfect. It was also quite fiddly as it's quite small.  Good fun to make though. I might never need to buy a gift bag again!

Added a little applique heart on the front and some buttons!

A little 2" x 2" chickie keyring!  Such fun!!

I've not played with my copics for ages.. it was fun to have a play today - especially with this new Gorjuss stamp.  The papers used are from the Gorjuss range too. I love the colours!

Tablet Cover

Been busy - made a cover for a Samsung Galaxy tablet. No pattern so complete pot luck that it;s a perfect fit!

Ok, I am totally hooked! Why has my sewing machine been almost gathering dust since I bought it!?  This is so (sew!) much fun!   

This is Mrs Peck - following the tutorial by the wonderful Debbie Shore!

I'm a complete beginner.. made this little cushion - just practising!

A little something!

Little is the key word here!  A 3D pop up box measuring 3cm x 3cm!  Cute!  This was just my first try to see if it would be possible to make it so small - and it is!  Easy!

So here are the instructions - for any size! 

1. take an A4 sheet of cardstock

2. place it landscape on a scoring board and score at (this is where you decide the size of your box! Lets go for the largest we can from an A4 sheet)..   score at 7cm, 14 cm, 21cm and 28cm

3. Turn to portrait and score at 7cm

4. Use a cutter and, portrait with the 7cm (in 3 above) on your left - cut at 14cm

5. Save the strip left - you need it!!

I am just so hooked on making these! This is my second attempt - they are so easy to make and so effective. I love the way they fold completely flat!

Bee Mine

Hey Gill-Friend!

Surf and Turf, from Paper Smooches! Coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  I'm so hooked on masking and inking with sponges at the moment! I thought I would use this technique for the background on this beach scene.

 

 

Time to share a cuppa!

Bit of a venture into different colour schemes for me today!  Fun fun fun!  Colours for this card were completely inspired by the very lovely Attic Door collection from Lemon Owl. Had them for a wee while but not had a chance to use them until today! 

The stamp is Stampingbella - Uptown Girls Clarissa and Camille share a café.  Coloured with copics and promarkers.  Accents on the card include Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge and Die Namics Beautiful Bows.

Here is the lovely "Faith the Fairy" from Stampingbella. She's coloured with copics and promarkers, and the papers are from "Rondelle" by Prima.  The individual words are from "Words We Love" by Technique Tuesday.

Some fun playing with WPlus9 Heartfelt Mix and Hearts & Clouds dies.  Coloured with SU! inks (Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana), and some accents with SU! Gorgeous Grunge (must have set!!)
