Some recent makes!
Hello!
Well here we are and it's half way through the month! Weather a bit cooler and some rain (which is good for the gardens!)
So far we've managed two BBQ's, which, for mid May in Scotland is pretty good going!
I've not had much crafty time recently (although I do seem to be managing to "crafty" shop!)
But here are a couple of recent makes.. die cutting rather than stamping!

May already!
Hello! Wow! We are in May already! Holiday countdown is definitely on!
I've been missing in action on the cardmaking front but I have been using my time wisely! I'm in the process of creating boards on Pinterest with all my stamps and dies etc. The reason? Only so that I can see what I have in one place and hopefully take inspiration from it rather than continuing to shop for new stash!
It's no small task though!
I have been using some of my time to craft though. In the form of crochet. Nothing complex, just a big (BIG!) granny square! It's so colourful and cozy. The wool is arran weight so it's really quick and easy to work with. Here it is... get your sunglasses on!

Mothers Day
Hi!
Well, now that Mothers Day is past I thought I would post pics of the card I made for my mum this year. I always struggle to find something different, or an image that is just right. I'm not a fan of pre-printed images or printed verses (although I have enough digi kits and card making software!!) but when it comes to a card for a mum it has to be as special as mums are!
So, I went for something simple outside but with maximum effect inside. And I was not disappointed by the result when my mum opened it!

Just plain and simple on the outside (Papers are just gorrrrrrjuss! Brighton Rock by Clarity Stamp)
And here is the inside! (not that easy to take a photo of but the 3D effect is really nice)
And my Mothers Day? Spoiled rotten, and a lovely meal out with my family!

Birdie Banners
Hi!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend! I've been busy with family stuff, some crafty time with friends, and a bit of time spent tidying the craft room - starting to see the floor again!
I have had some time to play today though and made this little card with Birdie Banners from Concord & 9th. When I first saw this set I knew it was a must have. The little birds are so cute and the sentiments cover so many different options!
I used my Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils - first time playing with them and I'm really impressed.
Here's my card:

Sunny Friday!
Hello!
Wow! It's Friday again! And it's a beautiful day here - blue skies and everything to smile about!
Even more so because, despite being really busy, I have found time to do some crafty shopping! Lots of parcels to open and goodies to ogle! Lots of lovely new fabric too!
One extra special parcel arrived today though.. first time I have shopped with Simon Says Stamp and I have to say I'm really impressed with how quickly the parcel arrived from the States. And even more happy to see the contents! I have been trying to get one of these stamp sets from MFT for AGES!!!! It's Magical Dragons! It seems to be sold out everywhere (no wonder!)
Can't wait to have a play! I think I will try my new Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils!
Also in the package some gorgeous stamps from Concorde & 9th, and the SSS Monthly Kit! Suffice to say I was nearly dancing round the room when the postman arrived!

Having a play with Paperartsy Infusions

Welcome to the weekend! It's been a good week this week. Lots achieved (not crafty stuff). Time for some crafty stuff tomorrow hopefully.

Get out the acrylics and have a play!
Hello! Well, it's definitely all been about having a play today! Re-discovered the acrylic paints (Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics by Paperartsy) and got a few extra tools out.. a hot glue gun, heat gun, baby wipes and an old credit card!

Wet and Windy Day!
Hi! Well this has been the week that saw storm Doris cause havoc in the UK. Thankfully she didn't hang around too long. The weather is pretty miserable here today. I don't think it's stopped raining!
A bit of me time today has been spent tidying the craft room. When I say tidying, I mean "trying to find the floor"! Oops!
I've a few crafty orders coming so I need to make some space!
One thing that doesn't take up physical space is digi stamps (thank goodness!) and there are some lovely new releases at Bugaboo so I just had to treat myself!
Here is my first play. This was all about the colouring so the card is very simple!
