easel card

First attempt at an easel card. I'm amazed at how easy these are - and really effective! I've used my new paper collection - No Worries, by g.c.d studios. I got it from the craft santa!
I've also decided to try and use more beads in my cards. These little bugle beads and pearls are threaded onto 28 gauge silver craft wire from Bead Smith.
Just need to try and get my inspiration by to keep crafting!

First card for ages. Why can I just not seem to find my mojo? I sit here and look at stuff and my mind goes a complete blank. Maybe it's the cold weather. Who knows. Thought I would try and inspire myself by using my Elzybells as I've not used them for ages. It didn't really work.. Now I've found an Anna Griffin kit that I got last Christmas - maybe that will work.

A new addiction!

Addicted to pop up cards! I've left the greetings off these - will add/personalise when I need to. These really are great fun to make and they look a wee bit special!

Pop up card - first attempt

First time making a pop up card and I was surprised how easy the basic folding was.
Started with a piece of card - 13cm x 26cm
1. fold it in half - right sides together
2. open it out again - right side up - then fold the right edge in so that it is aligned to the centre fold
3. open it out again - right side down - fold the bottom left corner up so it's aligned to the fold you have just made
4. open it out again - right side down - repeat what you did in step 3 for the top left corner (this creates the centre folds
5. last step - right side down - cut away the two corners to create the diamond shape which will face you on the pop up
6. gently fold!

Hoppy!

Still on the same theme of a white background. Yet another Penny Black stamp coloured with promarkers.

I am really loving using a white background - its not something I've really done in the past but doing the "all white" challenge has been really inspirational! I love this little hedgehog - he's coloured using promarkers.

Some Cards

I've been terrible - not posted anything for ages. So this is me catching up - I've not had much inspiration recently - hopefully it will return soon! I've gone back to my old habit of taking inspiration from the paper and it seems to be helping!

Just thought I would try something different. A simple flower brooch with a button centre.
