First Christmas cards
Well it's been ages since I last posted. Time has been disappearing! Never enough time to craft and too many distractions. I'm going to try and change all that though, and try to get back to regular posts - I was getting better earlier in the year.
I don't usually buy craft magazines but I had to get this months edition of Quick Cards Made Easy just so I could get my hands on these lovely Tiddly Inks stamps. Three little Christmassy Wryns! I hadn't intended to make cards with these, I was just practising colouring. But then I thought no point wasting them!
So here she is, coloured with a mix of Copics, Flexmarkers and Promarkers. I will add a bit of bling to them (as soon as my clear Wink of Stella pen arrives!)

Cupboard Trilogy Challenge #6
Hi everyone! Another month passes by and we have a fantastic new challenge at The Cupboard Trilogy! I only have to take one look out of the window this morning to see how appropriate this challenge is - here in central Scotland it is most definately a "Frosty Winter".
So time to be inspired by these fresh clean mornings, lawns covered in sparkly frost and clear blue skies and see what you can create for the challenge this month!
Here's my design team entry. I hope you like it!

The snow effect is just a random sprinkling of Frantage Chunky White embossing enamel.
Cardstock and glitter card is Stampin' Up! The snow flake is sizzix. I love the greeting - it's Hero Arts. The the houses are from the most wonderful Tim Holtz!

More Christmas!
Well, I'm hooked on Tim Holtz, distressing and Frantage today!! Brilliant fun!
Carrying on the theme of the card below I've made some more.. some the same (which I've not photo'd) and these two.. variations. The christmas tree idea is inspired by a card made by Kath (see the give away offer below for a link).

Black and Gold
Another inspiring Wednesday night with friends and here are the outputs! All on a black and gold theme. Some recent purchases from last weekend and some stuff I've had for ages (as I realise I need to use up stuff in order to make space for more!!)

Dasher again!
Here's Dasher again. This time, stamped in Cherry Cobbler (which is an almost perfect match to these papers from Basic Grey - love the tartan!!) The greeting is from Contempo Christmas. Holly is a Quickutz die I've had for ages.
Stampin Up Dasher
This is Dasher.. from Stampin Up! Using up the scraps of Early Expresso and Old Olive on papers from Basic Grey Jovial. Used some of the shaved ice as snow... boy, is that stuff messy! and I thought glitter was bad!! Great fun though!

Take one brown paper takeaway bag! (unused!!)
cut off the handles
cover with cardstock and lovely papers from Craftwork Cards
add a Merry Christmas greeting
make a tag
and glue it all together!
what do you get?
a Christmas gift bag!
Inspired by making the bag at yesterdays SU workshop I decided to use a slightly larger brown paper bag - after cutting the handles off it measures about 7" by 6".
I could easily get hooked on making these! Good job I've got plenty brown bags (bought them to make paper bag books!) I think I need to get some slightly smaller ones too!
These craftwork card papers are gorgeous - pearlescent. Not sure if the still do this range though - I found them in my stash when I was having a good look around! It's amazing what you find!
Time for a cup of tea now I think!
