Watercolour Flower

 Hi!

Having a lazy Sunday now that some of the housework is done!  I feel like I've achieved something!  So now it was time to get the watercolours and distress oxides out and have a wee play with some die cut flowers and leaves.  They are die cut from watercolour paper. I love how forgiving this is. It's actually pretty hard to go wrong.

Now I'm going to spend some time digging around in my stash to see what I can find that I've not used for a while.  I also need to start thinking about Christmas!!

Arty!

 Hi!

Welcome to Tuesday! Another simple card from me today.  This one is a combo of stamping.  I'm loving the background created with a gorgeous stamp from the Artistically Inked set from Stampin' Up!

It's Your Day

 Hi!

So much for it not raining as much! Several torrential downpours so far today.  Luckily I was in the car so kept dry!

Been out for lunch with my lovely Daughter today before she starts back at school next week.  And it's exam results day tomorrow!

I've been playing with this set from Stampin' Up! called Sweet As a Peach.  Such an easy set to use, and the co-ordinating dies are great!

I hope you like this card.  I'm going to enter it in the AAA Birthday challenge - it's a photo inspiration challenge and I just love the colours!

Have a lovely day!

Oh Happy Day!

Hi!

It's a quiet Sunday afternoon so what better than a quick and simple little card with a cute kitty on?

After a few days of torrential downpours today looks not too bad.  Some blue sky and (so far) dry!

I do have a list of things I should be doing around the house but it's been very easy to find reasons not to do them.  They can wait until tomorrow!

Imagine, Believe, Create

 Hi!

It's been absolutely ages since I last posted anything.  I have to admit that my crafty mojo deserted me, not sure where it went but I've been trying really hard to get it back.  It's ironic that usually what gets in the way of crafting is that there's just not enough time but I can't use that as an excuse with working from home and very few places to go!  Now that things seem to be getting back to a "new" normal my mojo is coming back (slowly!)

So, starting slow and keeping things simple may be the way to go!

Here's a card made with some stamping, stencilling and water colouring (the flower).

I hope you like it!

A Lazy Saturday

 Hi,

I'm trying to find my mojo again.  So I treated myself to some stamps from Polkadoodles and from Trinity Stamps (at Dies to Die For).

I've just been having a simple play today.  Pro Markers, Watercolours, Die Cutting and Stenciling.  And I have to say I'm pretty happy with the results!

Hope you're having a fun day!

Flowers for a Birthday

 Hi!

I've been having a play with a new set from Stampin' Up! called Pretty Perennials.  I love this kind of stamp set where you can just stamp randomly.   The flowers and leaves in this set are lovely. And I love the flamboyant "happy" as the focal word.

I might make these in different colours.  I think the flowers would work really well as the front cover of a diary or notebook too.

I hope you're having a great day, whatever you are doing!

Monochromatic with a splash of colour

 Hi,

Well where has the time gone since I last blogged?  I think this has been the longest time away ever for me!  Probably a number of factors to consider... not least a global pandemic sadly.

My craft space also now doubles as a work space so it feels less like somewhere to escape to.  Other family interests and hobbies have had to stop as they just can't be done with social distancing etc. so there's less "me" time.  And probably the biggest factor, despite trying to have a massive clearout of stuff I just simply wont use anymore (which I did last year!) I still have toooooo much and I can never find what I'm looking for, or I forget I've got it!

I'm going to try though.  Try to do some more tidying, and try to do some more crafting!

I have been busy making candles - votives, tea lights and wax melts though, so the house does smell gorgeous.  And recycling the wax melts to make tea lights means nothing gets wasted!

This is the first card I've made in ages.  And I felt like a beginner making it.  I didn't even stamp the greeting!  I am quite happy with the water coloured flowers though.
