Back!

Hello!

Well, apart from some recent DT cards I've been doing very little card making. Too much on and just back from a lovely two weeks in the Med.  The focus has been on family, especially in all this lovely weather (although that's changed in the last couple of days!)

So now I need to get back into my regular crafty routine (or try, at least!)

What better way to get motivated and give the old mojo a kick start than a CAS card. And what better way to be inspired than to look at the Less Is More blog!

So here's my entry for challenge #376.

Have a lovely Sunday!

Oh So Succulent

Hi!

Another weekend over and a new week ahead!  Busy day today running about ticking lots off the to-do list!  Always a good day when that happens.. feels like I have achieved something!

A little crafty time was spent making this card:

It's a simple one layer card using some gorgeous stamp sets from Stampin' Up!  I've not had much time to really play with all my new Stampin' Up! haul so it was great fun just to make this quick card.
Three stamp sets used:  Oh So Succulent, Designer Tee and Delicate Details.
I started with just masking off the strip across the middle then just stamped kind of random.  I thought the masked off area needed something to finish it off so I used the Delicate Details set - a gorgeous lace effect!  And I LOVE the font for Happy Birthday!

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafting With Friends Challenge #35

Hello!

Well here we are again at the end of a week! The speed time is flying in is making me dizzy!  It's been a great week.  Recovered (work wise) from everything that piled up over the Christmas break.  House is starting to look tidy (ish) again!  And I'm been involved in some parent/teacher stuff which looks like it could be very worthwhile.  So, enthusiasm running high!  AND, even more importantly, crafty spend has been at a minimum and some really quality time has been spent doing a bit of a clear out!  Still a fair way to go though!

I did manage to "ring fence" some quality crafty time to do my DT entry for the AMAZING fortnightly challenges over at Crafting With Friends!  Working with an image from the very talented Nikki Burnette

I chose Cadence

She immediately said "nature" to me.. so I went with a simple palette of colours (and a little bit of fairy sparkle glitter!) to produce this...

I love her face!  She is such a pleasure to colour in! I used a mix of alcohol pens to get the variety of greens and blending..

I hope you like her. Please take some time to pop on over to our challenge #35, it's ANYTHING GOES, and you need to join in!

Cool Treats!

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying the weekend! It's a dull and grey day here in central Scotland.  It's probably cold too but as I'm not going out it really doesn't matter!

Some time today to play with some new Stampin' Up! goodies - "Cool Treats".  Great fun dies and stamps and gorgeous washi tapes!

I felt quite summery when I was making this card!  And now in the mood for some mum and daughter baking time - we're making cake pops this afternoon!

Pink Elephant!

Hello Saturday!

This has been such a quick week!  There's been lots of spring cleaning going on - hard work.. but worth it! Where does all the "stuff" come from?  I've been really ruthless so far but the task is far from complete!

Took a little break from the tidying and (in the spirit of clean and tidy) I went down the CAS route with this little card using Stampin' Up! "Love You Lots".  Using Soft Sky ink for the background then Spectrum Noir Illustrators in Old Lavender and Wisteria for the elephant.  Matted up on Sweet Sugarplum and Pink Pirouette.  Simple!

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Have a lovely day!

Another little desk calendar

Hello!

I think I must be New Year obsessed!!  (either that or I bought way-too-many 2017 calendar tabs from ebay last year!!)  I was having a wee look around on Pinterest and found a little desk calendar with a pocket for little scraps of paper.  I followed the link to the very talented Stampin' Sarah and found all the instructions needed to make this little fella!

I used Tim Holtz Menagerie papers to decorate. Another quick make as I'm trying to kick my mojo into gear!!

Now, time to get on and get a couple of DT entries ready for next week!

Getting Ready..

..to go back to work!

It's been great being off for so long over Christmas and New Year but now it's time to get ready to go back to work.  With crafting in mind I thought I would make a new desk calendar.  Nothing too fancy, just a quick 30 min make.

I used this Tiddly Inks digi stamp and coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers (they really are great!!). I used Stampin' Up! coaster board to make the base of the calender and covered it with papers from the new Succulent Garden DSP (from the new Spring/Summer catalogue).  The cardstock is Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum.

Now I need to mark on the important birthdays and this years holidays!

I hope you like it!

Celebrate.. with Bella and Friends

Hi,  been playing with a new die from Neat and Tangled - Celebrate - the die set comes with the word and the shadow which is great fun to play with!  This was just a quick card so I kept it simple with an image from Stampin' Up! Bella and Friends.  Stamped in Stazon the coloured with Stampin' Up! inks and a blender pen.

Keeping it Simple!

Hi!  Well, the days are flying in!

We've been out and about today - lunch in the countryside - lovely!  Now I'm home I thought I would use this spare time to craft and here's another card made with Stampin' Up! Blooms and Wishes.. I think this is probably going to be one of my favourite stamp sets. It's so easy to get creative with it and get some simple, but lovely, end results!

Altenew Watercolor Wonders

Hello! Welcome to the weekend!
I've been busy today at a craft de-stash fair which was great fun.  And fab to catch up with so many crafty friends.  And great to clear out some stash!  A little bit ironic to come home to find that the postie had been with some new stash!! Including the very lovely Watercolor Wonders set from Altenew.  So, what was I supposed to do?  Obviously, get the Stampin' Up! inks out and have play!

Here's my first attempt and I've had great fun playing!
The sentiment is from Bunch of Blossoms from Stampin' Up!   The sequins are from Neat & Tangled.

Not my idea!

Hello!   Before going any further, this card is not my idea.  All my inspiration came from the very talented Dena Rekow at the Creativity Cave.  I saw a card that was posted on Pinterest and found it on Dena's blog.  I just absolutely love it!  Then I had to make a card for a very good friend leaving work and this one just seemed perfect!  And as Colton once famously said "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"..  so here is my card.

Time to play

Hello! It's a Monday holiday here - but the schools aren't off so I have some time to play!

It's been a busy weekend and I really should be spending time doing some housework.. should be.. hmmm!

I have a bundle of new stash to play with and it's all just been sitting in a big pile waiting for me. So, I've made a start at having a look through.  Although my crafty mojo is playing hide and seek at the moment!

Here goes, Stampin' Up! Totally Trees with a sentiment from Blooms and Wishes.  Stamped with Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso.

Fun and simple.

You Make Me Happy!

Hi! Happy Thursday! Yay, it's nearly the weekend!   What a good week it's been so far, although, some unexpected expense! Looking forward to a busy week too. It's non stop!

I'm still in desperate search for my crafty mojo but I did try to stay focussed to make a card.  No colouring involved... just some die cutting!

What I really need to focus on is tidying up my craft room.. apparently it has a floor but it's covered with new stuff that I've not got round to playing with yet... maybe a tidy up will be my inspiration!

Happy Monday!

Hello!  Well, here we are at the start of a new week!  Been school uniform shopping today. Nearly done!  And some lovely girly lunch too!   Then a last minute unforeseen purchase of a fridge/freezer as ours decided after about 8 years that it was no longer cool to be cool!

And after all that, some crafty time.. I'm in desperate need to find my mojo after nearly a month of very busy work and holidays so I took my inspiration from a card I saw a while ago - not mine, so not claiming the credit!

Now I really need to tidy the craft room and find things again!

Something a little bit different

Hi!

The postman brought me something I haven't used before - 6 little pots of Infusions Coloured Stains by Paperartsy.  The best way to describe these is little pots of pure colour magic!  The background of this card is my first attempt using the stain powders with a matte gel medium.   It started off as just a play but then I thought "why waste it".  The butterfly is punched from my second attempt on a piece of scrap paper (nothing gets wasted!)

The wave die cut is by Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is Tim Holtz stamped with Dapper Denim - one of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors for 2016-2018.

Look how vibrant the colours are!!

What to do...

... if you don't have a patterned paper to match!

Hello!  It's Monday again! I know I seem to say that so often but I really don't know where the time disappears to.  It's been a busy weekend among crafty friends.. and lots of quality family time. The weather here has been really quite good so we've been enjoying outside time!   The garden is mostly done.. lots of flowers planted. New furniture arrived so we now have a lovely relaxing space to compliment the BBQ space! (photo's to follow when the flowers come out!)

Had a lovely lunch out today and a little bit of work but now it's time to relax.  And what better to relax with than some colouring!   Here's an All Dressed Up digi coloured with Copics and Polychromos.  I probably do have paper that would match (in the never ending stash!) but I thought this was a perfect opportunity to play with my watercolours. Nothing fancy.  I also used Stampendous Chunky White Embossing Enamel and Aged Silver Embossing Enamel to add so texture.

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:
