Not enough?

Hi!  You know that sometimes without knowing it you develop a style or a safe zone when you craft?  And when you make something that doesn't quite fit the mould the you wonder if it's ok?  This is my problem.. most of the cards I make follow the same "formula", probably because I love to colour.  But then when I leave the image to stand on it's own.. adding very little extra to the card, I wonder "is it enough?"

I was having a play colouring a little Gorjuss Girl image and, rather than making her part of a larger, more complex card, I decided to just go for one simple layer with a simple sentiment.  I really did enjoy colouring her.. the vibrant blues were so lovely to blend.

And now I wonder, should I "mass produce"?  I only really make one of each card. I very rarely duplicate or make sets.  I like to think of each project as something new.  I have so many Grojuss stamps I thinking I could maybe make a card with each - mass produce (LOL!) with some individuality!

Have a lovely weekend!

Postman's been!

You know when you just can't resist something.. and you just have to have it?

Well, I haven't treated myself to anything Gorjuss for ages.. and then 20 stamps all come along at once.  And in a carry case!  Resistance was futile!!   The stamps are mini - about 7.5cm high and so cute!

I'll start to use the stamps over the next few weeks.   I'll also need to find all my other Gorjuss stamps and papers as there's loads of room in the caddy!

Gorjuss Sunday!

Hi!  It's a cold, wet day here today. Lots of rain, and it's trying to snow.  Being out in that makes me appreciate the warm cozy craft room all the more!

I'm still looking through my forgotten supplies.. and I found one of my all time favourites!   I just love this little girl from Gorjuss!  I've coloured her with Distress Markers.
The papers on the card are by Prima (the Rondelle collection).

For my inspiration for this card I checked out the Stamping Sensations challenge - Anything Goes with a die.   So to embellish this card I chose some Sizzix flowers and a flourish (I can't remember what make the flourish is - oops!)

I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Wrap (Terminology) to make the top layers of the flowers then scrunched them. The flowers are held together with some brads (which I've had for ages!)

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Bright and Sunny!

Hi!

This is my second outing with Prismacolor pencils.  And one of my favourite Gorjuss stamps "Daisy" by Personal Impressions.

Definitely need to work on my technique but still pretty pleased with results so far!  And it's so relaxing colouring in!

Have a nice day!

An old favourite

Hello Again!   I just love this little Gorjuss Girl.  She must be one of my all time favourite stamps.  She's coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers here. I think she is the perfect candidate for me to try with Prismacolor Pencils though!   Hmm.. but what colours to choose from!

This wasn't meant to be an easel card but I stuck the butterfly paper on upside down on the original card so I had to improvise!!  Still that's what makes crafting unique.  Still practicing with the promarkers so I thought I would put this little Gorjuss Girl to good use.
The papers are April Showers from 3 Bugs in a Rug, and the card stock is American Craft (from the Tropical collection).

Another Gorjuss!

I think I may be addicted to Gorjuss! And these papers from Basic Grey - the green and purple combo is just lush! The base card is from Craftworkcards - excellent quality and great value.
