Little bits and pieces

 Hi!

Well, it's Friday already!  Another quick week.   I was doing a bit of tidying out today - so a black bag full of craft stuff is heading the way of the recycling!   I did find some die cuts I had done last year (or maybe even the year before!) so I thought I would throw together a Christmas card.  And here it is. It really couldn't be simpler.   I used the dotty embossing folder to make the background look like snow but unfortunately didn't have the embossing start right at the top of the card.  So I had to improvise - the result is it's now a book fold card and the lack of embossing is covered by the gold ribbon. I also used some washi tape and a scrap of tartan paper as the background.

Playing with scraps

 Hi!

Well, it's a miserable day here today. I don't think the rain has stopped even for a moment!  But who cares? Certainly not me! After a lovely family day with the doggo at the beach yesterday the weather can do whatever it likes!   My attention did turn to the pile of scrap paper that's just been getting bigger and bigger these last view weeks so I decided to have a play and see what I could use. Two cards for today!

Birthday Martian

Hi! Here's my card for today.  Lots of fun watercolouring this little guy. Then simply cut him out.  Stamped him again on the base card and the glued the coloured image. Simple, but I like it!

I'm going to enter him in the Layered challenge at Addicted to CAS

Have a lovely day!

Mid Oct

Hi!

Wow! We're half way through October already! And it's starting to get colder.  Personally, I love this time of the year. The darker nights coming in! Also perfect time to get crafting!

I've not had a chance to do much in the last couple of weeks with the exception of yesterday and today.  Time spent yesterday afternoon with good friends crafting was just a lovely way to spend the afternoon and we were doing something a bit different - we were needle felting little pictures.  A very therapeutic way to spend the time stabbing away with a felting needle - very de-stressing!

I think I like the first one with the sheep on a hillside better than the second one - but you have to start somewhere!

When I came back from the crafty afternoon I spent some time playing with Jesmonite.  Great fun! I only bought a small amount to try it and I've finished it so I'll need to try and get some more.  Made 2 leaf coasters (broken the stem on one taking it out of the mold - my fault), then made a double tea light holder.  I'm really impressed with this product - so very easy to use!
