Tasty toppers.
(scraps again - I've decided to keep using my papers until the bits that are left are sooo teeny tiny it would be impossible to make anything else!)

A wee note book (had to use that last scrap of tartan!)

And some more toppers!
What a good day it's been!

A couple of little cards - again, just using up scraps!!

I'm really liking these natural colours.

Gift Bag - Basic Grey Sweet Threads

Made another gift bag. These are so lovely to make - and these papers are just gorgeous!
Loads left so might make co-ordinating birthday card go with!
Using up some scraps again. I just love this tartan paper. Used the Stampin Up Christmas bauble punch and chopped the bottom off to make the vase (thanks to Theresa for this idea!).  Then run the punched shape through the cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder (it's such a good folder for so many uses!)
The black card is bazill (orange peel finish) so it embosses really well, and the teeny flowers are red bazill bling - the die is a QK one I've had for ages!
The sentiment stamp is Penny Black and the stems/leaves is Stampin Up from the Sweet Summer set.
Might make some more like this (after lunch!)

True Friend

I'm really liking the pink and green colour combo! This card was inspired by the paper from "Out of Print by Basic Grey. Then I used up some scraps of Anna Griffin cardstock for the layering.
The image is Lili of the Valley, coloured with copics. The fairy wings are covered in Stampedous Shaved Ice (as am I, and my desk!!)
I'm going for a cup of tea now - to warm my hands!  It's freezing here today!

Anna Griffin Bag Template

One last quick make.. using the Anna Griffin template and Anna Griffin papers.. much easier to do with the Hougie board.
A little note pad.. using scraps!

To Woo!

Brr! How cold and miserable is it today?  Gave in and have just put the heating on.
No crafty time so far today - been out at a ceilidh.
This was a quick little make to use up these owls.. still have 4 more to use.

You know when you read something that makes you laugh.. you want to share it?  well, I did.. and here is my big smiley laugh... enjoy and share with whatever tickles your fancy..

Dasher again!

Here's Dasher again.  This time, stamped in Cherry Cobbler (which is an almost perfect match to these papers from Basic Grey - love the tartan!!)  The greeting is from Contempo Christmas. Holly is a Quickutz die I've had for ages.

Stampin Up Dasher

This is Dasher.. from Stampin Up! Using up the scraps of Early Expresso and Old Olive on papers from Basic Grey Jovial.  Used some of the shaved ice as snow... boy, is that stuff messy! and I thought glitter was bad!! Great fun though!
More toys!
Can't wait to try this Shaved Ice by Stampendous!
I think it will add a lovely snow effect to Christmas cards!

Amazing Service!

I can't beleive how quickly this arrived! I only ordered from Charmed yesterday and the postman has just delivered it about 5 minutes ago!  Really am impressed!
I've not bought any Basic Grey for ages.. had a look at some of their recent releases and just had to get them!

So here is..
Sweet Threads (got this is 6x6 and 12x12!)
Out of Print
Jovial

Just looking through these gorgeous designs.. drool, drool and double drool! ;-)

And the parcel contained a lovely wee freebie of Prima flowers and some lush grosgrain ribbon!

FAB!

More playing required!

Ok so I seem to be following an owl trend!

This card is made with;
Stampin Up Trendy Trees
SU Owl Punch & Boho Blooms
SU Papers and Inks from Neutral (Early Expresso) and Brights (Old Olive)
A little bit of SU linen thread
The greeting is from SU So Happy for You
.. and the wee heart is gilded with Crafty Notions gold gliding flakes

Matryoshka Woody

After getting my craft room to an "almost" tidy state I found loads of card kits that I've bought over the years (because they are very tempting!!) but to be honest, I never use them!  So, as they are taking up SO much room and I need to make space for loads of new stuff I'm going to try and use them up!
Here is the first very quick make.  I do love the colours!
The ink used on this one was a Versa Color Bamboo.
Loads of owly bits left so might make some more!!
What to do?!  Housework done!  Might make some Christmas gift bags now!  New stuff to play with! Pics to follow soon!

Do you ever get the urge to shout about how great life is when there are too many reasons to list?   Makes me realise how very lucky I am!  And I'm reminded daily!

Profound,  I know!  lol!
All these new crafty goodies are making me excited for GNPE!! not long now!

Been playing with my new SU stamp set... and now all my new goodies have arrived I know what I'll be doing this weekend! .. well not on sunday though as we're going to a ceilidh! Brilliant fun!

Woo Woo!

All excited! the first of my two orders of SU! goodies came!

Two lovely stamp sets... Delightful Decorations and Dasher!  Loads of lovely paper and inks.. and the Spiral Border Punch.. and the lovely freebie...

It's really gorgeous!!

Stampin Up Good Neighbors

Another quick one.  The houses are cut out and stuck on to the cream card - I left spaces between the houses and the roofs which looks much better than in the photo.
Stampin Up! products again (Love them!!). This time its cardstock from Neutrals and Subtles, and the papers from Elegant Soiree.  Inks used are Baja Breeze, Marinal Mist, Wild Wasabi and the clouds are Bashful Blue.

Not a great pic this time.  But here are a couple of quick thank you cards and tags.
Using some scraps!

New Home Card and Gift Tag

Something different and definately not Christmas!
A new home card made from my new Pink Paislee papers. Love the colour combinations and the matching bazzil cardstock.
Made a wee gift card from the scraps!

Feeling sorry for the postie!

Lots of new goodies to play with - the poor postman must be tired out!
I went a bit American Crafts daft!
And got some lovely papers from Pink Paislee!

Just waiting on my two SU! orders and some goodies from ebay!

Here are some pics of the gorgeous colours! (180 sheets of 12x12 gorgeous textured cardstock!)

Three little christmas cards;

SU Contempo Christmas Stamps
SU Cherry Cobbler and Elegant Eggplant cardstock and ink

I have to get more Cherry Cobbler!  I NEED it!
And on the same theme, here it is in blue. Think I prefer the reds and creams.
I tried to take this pic without the shine of the gold mirri card but failed! Anyway, you get the idea! Something different for me.  I've had this die for ages and don't think I've ever used it!

Waste not...

A couple of wee tags made with the scraps of the cards..
Decided to use some die cuts on this one that I haven't used for ages!  The holly leaves are SU Old Olive (I love this colour!!)
A simple christmas card.
First make of the day.. I'm just totally lovin' cream and this gorgeous rich red!  How many weeks is it until Christmas??  ;-)
Quite a productive morning so far! Been doing a bit of tidying in the craft room!  I'm pleased to say I can now see my desk!  And now.. what to make??

Sunday, August 21, 2011

Take one brown paper takeaway bag! (unused!!)

cut off the handles
cover with cardstock and lovely papers from Craftwork Cards
add a Merry Christmas greeting
make a tag
and glue it all together!
what do you get?

a Christmas gift bag!

Inspired by making the bag at yesterdays SU workshop I decided to use a slightly larger brown paper bag - after cutting the handles off it measures about 7" by 6".
I could easily get hooked on making these!  Good job I've got plenty brown bags (bought them to make paper bag books!)  I think I need to get some slightly smaller ones too!

These craftwork card papers are gorgeous - pearlescent. Not sure if the still do this range though - I found them in my stash when I was having a good look around! It's amazing what you find!
Time for a cup of tea now I think!

Saturday, August 20, 2011

Loads more christmas cards made! It's great to have such inspiration! I can't wait for the next SU! catalogue to come out... if its half as good as the US catalogue it will be very hard to resist!  That's if I have any pennies left from the GNPE!  Now looking forward to a lazy Sunday.. well lazy-ish!

What a lovely SUnny day!

A perfect day to spend engrossed in making SU! Christmas cards in the company of like minded ladies!
Lots of lovely Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, heat embossing and stamping.. and throw in huge amounts of sparkly glitter.. punches.. and what do you get??

Nellie Snellen: Brave Captain

This little guy is new from Nellie Snellen - he's called "Brave Captain.  He's really great to colour and the quality of the stamped image is fantastic.  Coloured him using pro-markers and Marvy Twinklette pigmented glitter markers (which I have just noticed should be stored horizontally - might explain why the colour didn't flow too well - oops!)
The papers are by MME - the True Blue collection which are lovely! And the sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Might do some more later!
Love this cheeky wee robot! He's coloured with copics.  Just a quick make. Been busy making baby cards as I'd run out! Made 6 but they are all repeats of previous designs so I'm not going to photograph them.
What to do now?
I really should tidy up all the tags on my posts, make things easier to find!

Monday, August 8, 2011

Not had a great deal of time to make anything today.. been busy, but good fun!  Did manage to make these little birthday gift tags with some of the paper scraps I bought at practially giveaway prices at my local paper mill!!
Great colours! and brilliant quality!

So here are the tags..

And here is the other reason for my inability to craft.. a loose tooth!  in the end,  pulled it out!  She's still smiling (although, almost vampire-ish!), and happy (although there was a fair bit of blood.. wee lamb!)

Handmade

Ok, so they are not that great.. but they are made from scratch, totally original! Fimo beads.. first attempt. And made this little bracelet for Sarah... they might as well have been diamonds from Tiffany!  The "thank you Mummy", huge smile and big kiss were way more than I expected!
Aren't kids just wonderful!  I'm a very lucky person!

Cheeky Monkey note book

A wee note book - measures approx 7.5cm x 11cm - and contains 80 sheets of paper. Love this little monkey - not used him for ages!

Rock Star!

Another fairly quick make - coloured using Copics this time - so easy to work with! Love this combo of the orange and blue!

Spectrum Noir

Just back from a lovely lunch and settled to do some crafting! Couldn't help myself though.. been trying to resist buying some of the new Spectrum Noir range.. and I was doing so well! But, sadly, I failed.  And after a mammoth task to find anywhere who still had them in stock I managed to get one of the sets of 24 and an individual set of 6.. so that's 30... only 138 to go!
This wasn't meant to be an easel card but I stuck the butterfly paper on upside down on the original card so I had to improvise!!  Still that's what makes crafting unique.  Still practicing with the promarkers so I thought I would put this little Gorjuss Girl to good use.
The papers are April Showers from 3 Bugs in a Rug, and the card stock is American Craft (from the Tropical collection).
Just practicing with the promarkers and I thought I may as well put the image on a card!  A quick wee make.
