Another Post It Note holder

These little things are so easy to make! I had this stamped image and I was going to do a card but I just couldn't get the layout right. The stamp is Penny Black Gossamer - coloured with Copics.

PIF Candy

I've been thinking about this for a while.. and not done anything about it! But it really is time I did a PIF Candy! I was thinking I could include some papers, stamps, images, embellishments and die cuts.. now I need to think about a challenge! I will get my thinking cap on and post one soon!

Little Missy - High Hopes

Another little cutie that is really easy to colour. Papers are HOTP again (now that I have found the pad I think I will try and use it as it's not gummed very well and all the pages are falling out!!

I've just looked around me to see what a mess I have made. I need to stop now and tidy up! Oh dear.. there is paper everywhere. I think it is possible to have toooooo much stuff!!

Ballet Brielle by Whippersnapper

I think this has to be one of my favourite stamps! The papers on this card are Hot Off The Press. I've also used some doodlebug paper frills and prima flowers.

The vellum is held in place with a brad and a snap - it should have been two snaps but I punched the wrong size hole (doh!). This is the first time I've used snaps - fiddly wee things!! I nearly broke my cropadile by using it the wrong way and a snap got stuck on. (Yes, I should have read the instructions first..... yeah yeah!! I fixed it (whew!)

I've used Basic Grey Obscure buttons for the flower centres - just for a change!

more jewellery for the charity sale

From a pile of beads... it's amazing what you can do, and how quickly you can do it! Here are another 3 pairs of earrings and a necklace for the Children In Need sale at work next Friday. The earrings were so easy to make. The necklace took about 40 mins. It probably took longer to choose the beads!!

I just hope people like them and want to buy them. I have no idea how much to charge - all the beads are good quality and all the crystals are swarovski.

Jewellery

Some jewellery to sell at work next Friday - for Children In Need. I have no idea what to ask for these. I'll make some more, and more little note books and post it note holders, and some cards and some tablet! (Yummy!)

The newest member of the family. This is Murphy. He's quite shy during the day. It was difficult to get this picture of him as he thought the camera was something to either eat or play with! He's only one and a half so thats allowed!

Post it Note Holder using Bind It All

Thought I would try and make another post it note holder but this time make it a bit more substantial - used the Bind It All. Two sheets of artists mount board cut to 3.5" x 4", covered, then fastened using 6 holes and size 1/2" wires. Works a treat and would really be reusable. A wee bit embellishment on the front and some gold ink brushed round the edges. Really really simple!

Post It Note Holder

I found the instructions for this online - not claiming it as my own design! Unfortunately I looked at so many different ideas I've forgotten where I found this one!
I can't believe how quick and easy this was to make.

Cut one length of double sided cardstock or heavy weight paper - 3.5" x 7"

Score it at 3.5" then again at 4"

That's basically it!

Carefully fold at the two score marks then embellish as you like and glue in your post it notes.

Easy as that!

I added a cute wee flower - I love the centres of these - they look like sweeties!

I know thistles aren't orange!

I have absolutely no idea where this card came from - it was supposed to be something completely different and then I decided I didn't like it. I stuck to the reds and oranges, with some wee gold swirls and I have to say that I quite like it - the textures are really nice.

For Charity - Children In Need

I'm involved in running one of the two scottish call centres which support Children in Need on the 14th of November and during the day we are having a "bake sale". Aside from cake and candy we can take along anything we want to sell to raise cash for this excellent cause. I thought I would give my bind it all a run for its money and make some little mini books and note pads. (I'm going to try post it note holders next!!) These took me about 10 mins to make each one and they are made from all sorts of odd ends of paper and board (including the chipboard you get inside new quilt covers and curtains to keep them flat in their packaging!). Even the paper inside is offcuts from my local paper mill. I would estimate the cost of each one to be around£0.50 to make. I hope they make lots for the charity!

Diamond Wedding Bookatrix

This is my first (and probably last!) attempt at bookatrix - I'm really not a fan. I was really stuck for what to make for a diamond wedding so I thought why not give it a try! I've avoided the mass of peel offs that seem to be the norm on this type of card as I'm not keen on them. One thing I was surprised about was how quick these are to make. Once I had decided to do this it only took 15 mins. I still have the box to make but thats the easy part. I hope they like it!
