Lots of lovely Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, heat embossing and stamping.. and throw in huge amounts of sparkly glitter.. punches.. and what do you get??

Nellie Snellen: Brave Captain

This little guy is new from Nellie Snellen - he's called "Brave Captain.  He's really great to colour and the quality of the stamped image is fantastic.  Coloured him using pro-markers and Marvy Twinklette pigmented glitter markers (which I have just noticed should be stored horizontally - might explain why the colour didn't flow too well - oops!) 

The papers are by MME - the True Blue collection which are lovely! And the sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Might do some more later!

Love this cheeky wee robot! He's coloured with copics.  Just a quick make. Been busy making baby cards as I'd run out! Made 6 but they are all repeats of previous designs so I'm not going to photograph them.

I really should tidy up all the tags on my posts, make things easier to find!

Not had a great deal of time to make anything today.. been busy, but good fun!  Did manage to make these little birthday gift tags with some of the paper scraps I bought at practially giveaway prices at my local paper mill!!

Handmade

Ok, so they are not that great.. but they are made from scratch, totally original! Fimo beads.. first attempt. And made this little bracelet for Sarah... they might as well have been diamonds from Tiffany!  The "thank you Mummy", huge smile and big kiss were way more than I expected! 

Aren't kids just wonderful!  I'm a very lucky person!

A wee note book - measures approx 7.5cm x 11cm - and contains 80 sheets of paper. Love this little monkey - not used him for ages!

Another fairly quick make - coloured using Copics this time - so easy to work with! Love this combo of the orange and blue!

Spectrum Noir

Just back from a lovely lunch and settled to do some crafting! Couldn't help myself though.. been trying to resist buying some of the new Spectrum Noir range.. and I was doing so well! But, sadly, I failed.  And after a mammoth task to find anywhere who still had them in stock I managed to get one of the sets of 24 and an individual set of 6.. so that's 30... only 138 to go!

This wasn't meant to be an easel card but I stuck the butterfly paper on upside down on the original card so I had to improvise!!  Still that's what makes crafting unique.  Still practicing with the promarkers so I thought I would put this little Gorjuss Girl to good use.

The papers are April Showers from 3 Bugs in a Rug, and the card stock is American Craft (from the Tropical collection).

Just practicing with the promarkers and I thought I may as well put the image on a card!  A quick wee make.

more Fimo on its way...

Sarah had great fun playing with the Fimo the other day.. its all baked now and we're going to get a canvas to put it on .. as a piece of modern art!!  Actually,  I think its probably going to look really good!

So, in the spirit of all things creative, more Fimo is winging its way to us!  And I'm going to use the book I have...

.. to see if I can master the techniques of Millefiori (thats "thousand flowers" for those who didn't do high school italian!).. I know that I really need a pasta maker to make this easier so I'm just going to have to improvise!!

Watch this space.. needless to say, if the results look like Primary 1 plasticine, I may not post the pictures!! lol!

Ok so I haven't made any jewellery for ages for various reasons but now starting to think about it again (lots of online orders winging there way to me as I type!) and I'm excited to say that the Scottish Bead fair is on in August in Perth.  It's a great show and I'm looking forward to it for (I think) the 3rd or 4th time?!  Just need to save up the spending money! (isn't it amaazing how much it's possible to spend at these shows!) Hoping to make a weekend of it and enjoy either Perth or Pitlochry! 

It's all too exciting! lol! Something to look forward to every month until Christmas! (which I can't believe is so close!)

A quick little make. Don't do boys cards very often!

Fizzy Moon again. This is the "Little Messages" stamp set. Cute. I think I've worked out which colours to use now.  I have to say though,  first time I saw this paper collection I thought it was ok. But I'm really not that keen now. The colours seem quite dull.  Really need to think about what you do with the card layout to brighten it up a bit.

Another card in the red and green theme.  These little LOTV characters are just lovely!

Not sure what kind of card to make with this image.. its a digi stamp from Tickled Pink. I was on a search for something "evil" and "witchy" but found this little vampire and though she was lovely! My colouring isn't great but it looks ok in real life. Juts not sure what to do with her now.. I do have a spider die.. that could be quite effective!

Second Christmas card.. I've got my mojo back! Must be all these lovely new stamps! I'm tempted to get some more!!

Trying to decide what colours to do for Christmas.. I like this blue but I think I prefer the red and green.

It's great to have found my crafty mojo again! all is right with the world.. LOL!

First Christmas Card of the Year

It's quite hard to make a christmas card when it's so warm! But here she is, my first attempt using my lovely new Lili of the Valley.  She's coloured with promarkers and a bit of glitter added for her fur collar.

The papers are from DCWV (The Christmas Glitter Stack).

The greeting is also LOTV and the accents are cuttlebug.

WooWoo! New stuff! The stanps I ordered from Lili of the Valley arrived and they are gorgeous!!  Look here for the full range!

And there's more to come! OMG!  I'll be able to get these at GNPE in September.. oooh I can't wait!

Christmas... arrghh! Star Book

First christmas creation of the year.. and no doubt not the last!

Using up some scraps!

Cut some more flowers from the scraps and decided to make some gift tags and a notepad.  These are really quite rewarding to make - quick and effective!

Ooo Ooo!

The NEW Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps are out! And they are gorgeous!  I had to be so strict not to put them all in my basket!  Got 5 though, and the christmas circular sentiments!

Variation of a theme

Something a bit brighter than the last one - to reflect this lovely bright day!

Some nice fresh colours on this .. not my usual combination.  This image is lovely to colour with ProMarkers!

Flowers and a butterfly. I think I might try and see if this works in brighter colours rather than the naturals.

Also just kitted out the new car in all things pink (not my usual style but Sarah loves it!). 

The best accessory has to be the Hello Kitty car mats!  (cool!)

what to do with...

...the bits of thick cardboard that come in the packaging of shirts...

This little album measures 9" x 7.25" and is covered with brown paper then Tim Holtz cardstock. The cardstock pages inside are cream and it's all held together using the Bind it All.  The fastener is Tim Holtz. 

To think that these bits of cardboard could have just ended up in the bin!

The whole thing needs embellished but I'll wait until I know what I'm going to use it for. Loads of scraps of the creams and greens left so I'll need to think what else I can make!

Pottering around...

Still not got a great deal of mojo so I thought I would have a play with the SU two step owl punch.  I started off with Christmas in mind and make a couple of penguins then made the owl. I must get my thinking cap on to design my christmas cards for this year (penguins may feature!)

I used some of my SU neutrals cardstock to make two little gift voucher holders.. The pic below shows what they look like in the inside (not very exciting, I know!)

Now I think I'll do a wee bit of shopping at the Ribbon Girl.. need some more of the gorgeous cream seam binding!!

As promised, here's what I made yesterday!  Still a bit stuck for inspiration as you can see.

This is the first time I've used "Sail Away" by Stampin Up.  I was a bit stuck for ideas so googled the stamp name and saw some lovely examples - decided to keep it simple on this cards. The greeting is also by SU from the "So Happy for You" set. 

I had some spare (K&Co) paper left so made a wee note card and notebook with some left overs. Really quite rewarding to make!

Hello! and sorry I've not posted for a while.. been on holiday!  Not got my mojo back yet but hoping a wee crafty night with the girls tomorrow will fix that!  I promise to post whatever I do make!  And some holiday pics too!
