Post It Note Holder

I found the instructions for this online - not claiming it as my own design! Unfortunately I looked at so many different ideas I've forgotten where I found this one!
I can't believe how quick and easy this was to make.

Cut one length of double sided cardstock or heavy weight paper - 3.5" x 7"

Score it at 3.5" then again at 4"

That's basically it!

Carefully fold at the two score marks then embellish as you like and glue in your post it notes.

Easy as that!

I added a cute wee flower - I love the centres of these - they look like sweeties!

I know thistles aren't orange!

I have absolutely no idea where this card came from - it was supposed to be something completely different and then I decided I didn't like it. I stuck to the reds and oranges, with some wee gold swirls and I have to say that I quite like it - the textures are really nice.

Fruitcake snowflake

This one hasn't come up that well in the photo but the papers are Basic Grey Fruitcake (Berry Branch/Nutcraker). The snowflake is the large sizzix die #2.

For Charity - Children In Need

I'm involved in running one of the two scottish call centres which support Children in Need on the 14th of November and during the day we are having a "bake sale". Aside from cake and candy we can take along anything we want to sell to raise cash for this excellent cause. I thought I would give my bind it all a run for its money and make some little mini books and note pads. (I'm going to try post it note holders next!!) These took me about 10 mins to make each one and they are made from all sorts of odd ends of paper and board (including the chipboard you get inside new quilt covers and curtains to keep them flat in their packaging!). Even the paper inside is offcuts from my local paper mill. I would estimate the cost of each one to be around£0.50 to make. I hope they make lots for the charity!

Diamond Wedding Bookatrix

This is my first (and probably last!) attempt at bookatrix - I'm really not a fan. I was really stuck for what to make for a diamond wedding so I thought why not give it a try! I've avoided the mass of peel offs that seem to be the norm on this type of card as I'm not keen on them. One thing I was surprised about was how quick these are to make. Once I had decided to do this it only took 15 mins. I still have the box to make but thats the easy part. I hope they like it!

Purrfect

Another Pink Petticoat. This time the card is made from Bazzil cardstock rather than my usual white! I just love the colours of this. And the kitty is lovely!

This cheeky little guy is coloured with Copics. I like him but I don't really like the rest of the card. Some you win, some you lose!

Elephant Birthday

This isn't my usual look but I like it. I love the cool colours and the elephant, Elmer by High Hopes, is a dream to colour. I'm still getting to grips with my Copics but I like the effect on this stamp.

IT support sleeping on the job!

Cats do find the funniest places to sleep! If your printer needs fixed I wouldn't bother calling Kismet IT services.. she sleeps on the job!

From Penny Black - 2002. I've not really used this stamp much in the past. I'm pleased with the results with Copics though - nice and bright!
