Hello Sunshine

Hello!

As the weather is much better now I'm tempted to say Hello Sunshine!  I'm inspired by the #90 Weather Challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.

I had a root around in my stash and decided on a Polkadoodles/Lawn Fawn mix!

Coloured with watercolour pencils and then stamped the sun and sentiment.

Quite pleased with the colours on this card. Nice and bright!

Love these birds!

Hello

Hi!

Another Navy and Yellow card.  It's great fun working within the remit of a colour challenge! Especially as we generally think beyond just two!

Simple die cutting and little punched flowers.  The sentiment is by WPlus9 from the Hand Lettered Hello set.  The centres of the flowers are a tiny covering of navy glitter.  I've not used glitter in ages.  The glitter is Pee Wee Glitter from Art Glitter - it's super fine! (and get's everywhere - I'm now sparkly!)

Here it is. Hope you like it!

You Are Special

Hello!

For this card I've gone with Polkadoodles stamps coloured with Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils (for a change!) And whilst searching my craft room to find them I also found my Gelli Plate!  So that might get a wee outing soon! (I've been looking for it for ages!)

These watercolour pencils are a dream - the colour is so intense.  I only have the set of 24.. maybe something to put on my wish list for more!!

And here's my card!  Hope you like it!  The papers are Basic Grey "Pheobe".

Get Well

Hello!

It's time to play with Magical Dragons from My Favourite Things. I think this is probably one of my favourite stamp sets.  The little dragons are so cute.

I'm still inspired by the Black and White plus One challenge at Simon Says Stamp so I decided to colour this little guy green.  Then I wasn't sure what sentiment to use.. but if he's green then maybe he's not feeling too well?  So I went for "Get Well Soon".

Here he is!

I'm loving these CAS layouts!

Best Of Cluck

Hello!

I had so much fun making this card. I just love the chicken! He's from Funky Chickens from Hobby Art.
I've coloured him using ProMarkers. Kept the colours really simple so he would stand out well on the card.  I love his eyes!

Circle Doodle

Hello!

I'm inspired to do something a little bit different for the Black and White plus One challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

I've used the Circle Doodle background stamp from Simon Says Stamp and teamed it up with the Celebrate dies from Neat & Tangled.  The one additional colour is Night of Navy from Stampin' Up! I've used both light and dark shades of the same colour.

I hope you like it!

Wild About You

Hello,

It's a bit of a blast from the past with today's stamp choice! I've gone with Whipper Snapper Swing Monkey.

This is a lovely image to colour. And he's so cheeky!

I've kept this card clean and simple.  The sentiment is from Sweet Safari by My Favourite Things.

I hope you like it!

Awesome Chemistry

Hello!

Today's been a busy day!  But always time for some creativity!

Inspired by the Crazy for CAS sketch and stamp set from Paper Smooches that I've not used in ages called Great Chemistry.  The hexagon borders are Borderettes from Stampin' Up!  The mad scientist is coloured using a mix of Copics and Stampin' blends.

I'm finding all these challenges so inspiring.  It's great fun taking part!  And seeing all the amazing entries from so many talented crafters!

Here's my card. I hope you like it!

In The Pink

Hello!

I'm inspired again by the challenge at Country View Challenges to use Black and White Plus One other colour.

I've had Runway by Tim Holtz at Stampers Anonymous for ages and not used it but this seemed like a good way to focus on just one colour.  The chequer board is from Tim Holtz Ultimate Grunge and the sentiment is Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Birthdays.

I'm also going to enter the card in:

There For Me

Hi!

Sticking with the Love You Lots stamp set from Stampin' Up! for this little card.  The dots are from "Draw the Line" and they are inked with Granny Apple Green.

I've made this card for the "A Place To Start" Challenge where the theme this week is to use an inspirational die or stamp.

I hope you like it!

Lily Pad

Hello!

Inspired by the new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge this time!

The swirl at the top of the sketch made me think of a lily pad so I decided to use my Stampin' blends to colour the little from from "Love You Lots".  I then cut him out and placed him over the swirl.  The colours used are Old Olive and Crumb Cake.

Hope you like it!

Bird Of Paradise

Hello!

I'm following a sketch challenge for the layout of this card.  The challenge is set by Sunday Stamps.

I'm using a stamp from the Birds of Paradise set by My Favourite Things. Just went wild with the colours - anything bright! Which is why I chose the black and white stamped washi as the background - to add additional pop to the bright colours!

Great fun colouring this one!

Hearts Away

Hello!

Sticking with Penny Black and water colours.  Inspired for this card by the challenge at AAA Cards. It's One Layer + the optional twist of LOVE.

This Penny Black stamp is from 2006, by Margaret Sherry, called Hearts Away.

Card base for this one is cold pressed water colour paper.  I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a Kuretake water brush.

I hope you like it!

Squeeze 'til I Squeak

Hello!

I've been having a look at stamps that I've not used for a while and I think this one may be one of my favourites.  It's certainly great fun to water colour!

It's a Penny Black from 2003 by Margaret Sherry called Squeeze 'til I Squeak.  I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers on water colour paper. I stamped the imaged using Jet Black Stazon.

The sentiment is from A Muse Artstamps.

I kept the card quite clean and simple.  I hope you like it!

Two simple makes using Concorde & 9th Birdie Banners, and Simon Says Stamp Fingerprint Doodles.

Purr-fect Valentines

Hello!

I found a set of stamps by Simon Says Stamp.  This is the first time I've used them.  Love these cute little kitties and the sentiments in the set are so sweet!

I coloured this using Stampin' Up! stampin' blends in Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake.  I used Crumb Cake cardstock to mount the image and the background paper is "out of print" by Basic Grey.

I do love the font on these sentiments!

Love You Lots

Hello!

Making a love themed card and I thought "does it have to be reds and pinks"?  The answer to my question was no so I thought about the Less Is More colour challenge and how much I was enjoying the Navy and Yellow combo.

So I found this set of little dinosaurs by Stampingbella and decided to see what I could do to add some love!

I used some Stampin' Up! stamps from Chalk Lines, Timeless Textures and Love You Lots and here is my finished card.

Peek-a-boo Hello!

Hello for the second time today!

As the little Stampingbella Dragons were still lying on my desk I thought about how to make a clean and simple card.

I started with the little dragon and the rest of the card just followed the purples.  I used Illustrator markers to colour the dragon. I was going to mat the white part of the card onto a white base card then I spotted that the Stampin' Up! Highland Heather ink was a good match so I used the coordinating cardstock.  Still trying to keep the look clean and simple.

I hope you like it!

Little Dragon

Hello!

Welcome to Sunday!

I've been inspired by the February challenge over at Country View Challenges.
It's Black and White plus one other colour.  I've used a little dragon stamp from Stampingbella and coloured with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers (Salad and Pale Citrus).  The background stamp is from Stampin' Up! Chalk Lines, and the sentiment is Tim Holtz.

I've kept the card really simple. I hope you like it!

Happy Bird Day

Hello!

I should be saying Happy Christmas - to me - as I've spent some Christmas money today. On a new camera.  My old Sony packed in before Christmas so I've been using the camera on my phone.  It's fine, the pics are ok but I just felt they were lacking a wee bit of definition.  So welcome to a new Nikon!

I found a stamp by Penny Black. It's a Margaret Sherry from 2014 called bird-day.  I do love Penny Black stamps, and especially Margaret Sherry!

So here it is, coloured with Zigs again!

Dandelion Love

Hello!

Here we are at the weekend! Yay!

I've been doing a bit of water colouring with the Zig markers on a stamp that I've not used in AGES!!  It's called Dandelion Love from The Crafthouse Press.  There's quite a lot of space to colour on the big rabbit but using watercolour makes it easier.

The papers are from Basic Grey "Out Of Print".  The centres to the little flowers are micro beads from Martha Stewart (not sure if you can still get them).

I hope you like it!

Orchids

Hello!

I've made this card, inspired by the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, using the Climbing Orchid stamp set with co-ordinating dies from Stampin' Up!

Coloured using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker and a water brush.  The centres of the orchids are stamped using Stampin' Up! Highland Heather ink, and Hero Arts Grape Juice.
I stamped the sentiment (love the font!) using Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip.

I loved making this card.

Beep Boop Birthday

Hello!

It's an outing for Lawn Fawn today with this little stamp set called Beep Boop Birthday.  I coloured the images using Copics and then die cut.

It's a simple little CAS card which was inspired by the Sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch - although I did turn the sketch on it's side!

Lots of fun making this one!

Big Dog Birthday

Hello!

It's a Tim Holtz and Stampin' Up combo card today.  I used the Crazy Dogs stamps and die set and teamed up with Stampin' Up! Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge, and a little strip of silver washi tape.  I like the simplicity of this card.  The image was coloured using Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers - they make colouring so easy and quick!

Here it is. I hope you like it!

Fresh Cut Florals

Hello!

I wanted to make a bright and cheery card today!  I had a rummage through my stash and found a stamp set by WPlus9 called Fresh Cut Florals.  I'm sure I have the dies to go with it - I'll need to try and find them! In the meantime though, I've gone with a CAS look on one layer.

The inks used are Hero Arts.

I hope you like it!

Navy and Yellow

Hi!

I'm just so hooked on this colour combo!   It's completely inspired me to play! And that's what crafting is all about. Not the end result.. it's about the journey!  The fun we have creating the end result!

Here are some "in love" critters.. they may not be a perfect match.. but let's face it, who is??  True love is a rare thing. I count myself very lucky!
