Hi!

Just a simple hello message with the card.  I was inspired by two challenges for this one. Less Is More challenge #391 Take 3 and Addicted to CAS #155 Green.

Both such inspirational challenges I thought why not combine them!

Here's my make.  The leaves are a Tim Holtz die cut from water coloured paper which I also spritzed with Distress Oxide spray in Peeled Paint. I used 3 die cuts and made them look like they were joined.  I used a Versa Color Gold ink for the background splatters.

I'm inspired to make this card by the current challenge at Addicted to CAS. Challenge #155 is Code Word "Green".

So I've used this little dino baby from Stampingbella.  I love this set. The dinos are so cute!

I did do a wee bit of tidying after my last post.  Not too much though!

I found a stamp by Stampendous called Tall Birdhouse and it made me think of spring time!  

I coloured using a mix of different alcohol markers.

Hello!

Well, no card making this evening... another (my 3rd) attempt at an acrylic pour.. I didn't post my second as it was awful!

But I'm really pleased with this one.  I can also see what I did wrong. The consistency of the white was wrong (I'm hoping it might dry ok).   I am really pleased with the cells though.  I didn't use a blow torch (scared to!) so I will progress to that maybe!

This card is a combo of water colours and Distress Oxide (Iced Spruce).  I enjoyed making this one.  I die cut with a Memory Box die and water colour cardstock.  Then layered it up on a water coloured background.

It's cold and snowy here today.  But I've been out and now I'm back in the cozy warm craft room!  Time for a little play!

I'm inspired by the new challenge at Less Is More.  It's challenge #391 and the theme is Take 3.

I chose primary colours for the paint tubes as you can colour your life any way you want with just the basics!

I didn't get a chance to craft yesterday and there's not been a great deal of time tonight either so this is just a quick little water coloured die cut.  I've left off a sentiment for now as the card could be used for different things.

I had lots of fun colouring this one. I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.  You'll see on the close ups that it's not perfect - it's not meant to be!

This is one of my favourite dies because the image is so cute and there so much detail!

Watercoloured Bird

Hi!

Brr! Its a cold and frosty one here today.  So I thought I would brighten things up with something a little tropical!

First time playing with this Sizzix Sizzlit die.  I wasn't sure if I should cut multiple layers in different colours then piece it together then I had the idea of using watercolours which was quite easy to do.  Whilst the results aren't perfect I am pleased with them!

The die is by Sizzix called Pop Up Cactus, although I've made it flat!   And rather than words for a sentiment I've just chosen a heart.

Something new

Hello!

No cards today.  Been trying something new... acrylic paint pouring.  (Yes, the craft room is a mess.. and so am I, despite wearing rubber gloves!! Gonna need a new craft desk!!)

It's definitely addictive.  I have so many acrylic paints it seemed daft not to give this a go!  So, liquitex and silicone at the ready, along with some plastic cups and lollipop sticks, this was my first pouring attempt.

Not sure really... I got some cells but I don't have a blow torch (as yet!!) so I wasn't able to add real heat. The heat gun didn't really cut it!

Everyone has to start somewhere!

Maybe my colour choice wasn't quite diverse enough.  Or maybe I should wait and see what happens when it's dry! 

Anyway.. it was fun (and messy) and what is it they say?  Practice makes... more mess!!

Distressed!

Hello!

I finally gave in and indulged in some crafty spending! I wasn't going to.. really I wasn't!  I've been considering getting some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide sprays for a while now.  My problem is there's such a range of colours and I (naturally) want them all!   So what to choose??

In the end I chose five for my first purchase: Picked Raspberry, Faded Jeans, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint and Iced Spruce.

I was having just a random play on water colour cardstock and a gesso'd tag and I thought "what can I do with these?"  So I decided to die cut using Tim Holtz Funky Floral #1.

I took my inspiration from AAA Cards Challenge. #153 is One Plus Three and I chose: One Matted Layer, A Trio of small embellishments (the flowers) and die cuts.

I'm also going to enter this card in CAS(E) This Sketch, and Lil Patch Of Crafty Friends.

Birthday

Hello!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday as I was out and about for most of the day then when I came back I had to make a family birthday card which took a wee bit of time.

All the elements (except 80 and Mum) are die cut then water coloured.  The butterflies are My Favourite Things and the flowers are Tim Holtz.  I had great fun making this card!  Bright and cheery!
