New Adventure

Hello!

It's been a misty day here today, and not so warm as the last few days.  Been a busy day at work, then parents evening at school.  Now it's time to relax a bit!

I'm inspired to make a card for the current challenge at Always Fun Challenges #99 Travel.

All the stamps used are Stampin' Up!  Coloured with water colours.

I'm also going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Here For You

Hello!

A Lily Of The Valley image for this card. Stamped using Gina K Amalgam Ink and coloured with water colours.

I've got loads of LOTV stamps which I've not used in ages.  It's amazing how you forget what you have!

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:

You Are My Sunshine

Hi!

I found another stamp set that I've not used in ages. This time from the Craft Lounge called "Ducky Days".  I've water coloured this one using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I love the intensity of the colours and they are so easy to use!

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Hamish

Hello!

It's a Scottish theme for this card.  Which is appropriate as spent some of yesterday getting our daughters new kilt, jacket and glengarry sorted out ready for the start of the competition season!

I found a stamp I've not used in ages - Hamish in a kilt by Sugar Nellie.  The sentiment is WPlus9, the "tartan" is Stampin' Up! Beyond Plaid and the thistle is Funstamps.

Hope you like it!

Be You

Hello!

Good morning! It's a lovely bright clear morning here today.  A perfect morning for a productive day!
I'm playing along with challenge #153 Code Word Grid, at Addicted To CAS.  I've combined a peacock feather and a grid for the card as they seem like complete opposites!

The stamps are Stampin' Up! Off The Grid and Fine Feathers, and the sentiment stamp is Avery Elle So Happy.

Watercolour Butterfly

Hi!

It's been a busy Sunday so far but now some time to relax a bit!

I've been playing with some My Favourite Things stamps and matching dies.  The set is called Beautiful Butterflies. I die cut them from watercolour card and then coloured with water colour pencils before finally stamping with Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake ink.

The background is from Stampin' Up! Playful Backgrounds.  The sentiment is WPlus9 cut from water coloured card with a light rub of Old Silver Inka Gold.

Here's my card:

Hello!

Welcome to the weekend!

I've now got a (fairly) tidy workspace!  I went in search of some inspiration and came across a challenge at Creative Confetti which is "Just Take 10".  So a quick 10 minute card to get me started today!

I'm also going to enter this card in the Cut It Up challenge - the theme is clovers.

From The Heart

Hello!

I can't believe it's Thursday already! I think using all your spare time productively makes the time pass so much quicker!

I've made a card with a set of stamps I used the other day (as I hadn't tidied up!!). It's Petal Palette from Stampin' Up!   This time I've water coloured the large rose image and die cut it.  Then used some other stamps from the set for the border, background and sentiment.  I'm liking the green and pink combo!

Here's my card:

Way To Go!

Hello!

A quick little make tonight.  A one layer card with a focus on the sentiment.

Stamp sets are Draw The Line and Cheerful Critters from Stampin' Up!

I'm going to enter this are in the Less is More challenge.

Hello Friend

Hello!

Rummaging through my stash and found a clear set from Hero Arts that I've never used!  It's called Color Layering Graphic Flowers. I've had it for ages!

I thought I would have a play with some embossing powders for this card.  Every part, except the sentiment, is heat embossed.

I like the bright colours and the glossy finish!

Hope you like it!

Wild About You

Hello!

I've taken my inspiration for this card from the colour challenge over at CAS Colours and Sketches.

Here's the colour combo for the challenge:

I used the Sweet Safari set from My Favourite Things and a combination of the colours with some die cut Pear Pizzazz cardstock layered on kraft.

I'm also going to enter this card in:

Fairy Wishes

Hello!

It's a combined challenge inspired card today!  The theme is "Do You Believe In Magic" at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog and they've teamed up with a Tic Tac Toe at Double Trouble Challenge.
I chose the Silver/Gold; Sentiment; Die Cut/Punch line on the grid.

I used a die which I've had for a long time from Tinker & Co.  I don't think you can get this anymore. I pieced her together then finished the card off with some new washi tape from AlteNew.

I just love the washi tape.  It's extra wide at 2.25" so I cut it into thinner strips for this card.

Petal Palette

Hi,

The inspiration for this card came from the combination of two challenges.  Sketch #304 at Atlantic Hearts Challenge and PP429 at The Paper Players.

I used a combination of stamps and dies from Stampin' Up! called Petal Palette and Petals & More.  The Paper Players challenge is Monochromatic so I chose shades of green.

I hope you like it!

Happy Days!

Hello!

Schools are on holiday here at the moment so some quality time for us girlies.  A wee long lie followed by getting our nails done. Then lunch!  And now it's 4pm and back home.   And back home to find a parcel waiting.  With the most amazing product!  Gina K Designs amalgam ink.

Unless you've already heard of, or used, this product you might be saying "a black ink pad, so what?".. well, this pad can be used for alcohol markers or water based (including water colouring!)  And, even though I only had a tiny little play to see the results, it WORKS!!  Amazing!

This was my quick test! Watercolors on the left and alcohol markers on the right.  I'm very impressed.  The ink pad is lovely and juicy and has a pleasant smell (reminds me a wee bit of pear drops).  Now I need to find somewhere that stocks re-inkers as I'm sure this pad is going to be very well used!

You're Awesome

Hi!

Another simple card today.  Using 3 stamp sets from Stampin' Up!  Gorgeous Grunge, Gallery Grunge and Epic Celebrations.
I used Wink Of Stella on the guitar to give it some subtle sparkle.

I stamped the guitar first then masked it before using the background stamp.

Thank You Kindly

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday whatever you are doing.  It's a day to spend a little time on our hobbies!  As a result, the house is filled with music! There's bagpipes downstairs and keyboards upstairs.  So if you were looking for some peace and quiet here it's not happening!

I've been having a play with another stamp set that I've had for a wee while but not used.  It's Hanging Garden from Stampin' Up!

I coloured it using watercolours as there's so much detail on the image.

I'm going to enter this card in the OLC Focus on the Sentiment challenge at Less Is More.

Love Without Limits

Hi!

Having a go at two step (or in this case, four step) stamping.
I used the Picture Perfect stamp set from Stampin' Up!  The humming bird is such a lovely image.

Kitties

Hello!

Been playing with an Inky Antics stamp set called Kitty Cube.  It's a square block with stamps mounted on 4 sides.
Cute kitties are great fun to colour. I used Copics.  The borders and sentiment are from Stampin' Up! and I stamped using Crumb Cake.

It's a different card shape for me.

Hope you like it!
